Britelight Automated 7k

Exceptional performance is expected with the Xenotech Britelight 7000 automated searchlight system. This is our highest-powered five function computer-controlled robotic searchlight system. The system functions are pan, tilt, focus, douse, and color. Sub control functions of pan, tilt fine position, pan, tilt, douser, and color change speed, system reset, and color / douser reset are also controllable. The system communication protocol is formatted to the USITT DMX-512 standard and the system can be controlled by any controller configured for moving operation supplying a DMX-512 signal.

The lamp head optical system utilizes a unique 7000 watt short-arc xenon lamp and a high efficiency short focal length electroformed parabolic reflector to produce an intense beam of collimated, daylight-balanced light. The optical system also employs the extensive use of heat absorbing and reflecting thin film dielectric coatings in the optical path to control the infrared energy output (heat) of the beam and extend the life of the colored gel scroll.

The lamp head cooling system utilizes a redundant high-volume, low-velocity blower to achieve a level of cooling performance far in excess of any comparable system. This level of cooling allows this lamp head to be used in the most demanding temperatures without fear of failure. The new Xenotech high-current globe interface allows the globe to be serviced or replaced from the front of the lamp head with just the removal of the scroller / douser unit.

The system control electronics are completely modular and can be serviced or replaced in a matter of seconds simply by pulling out the module in question and sliding in a replacement. The system modules are configured by function as follows: control power supply, CPU, pan motor drive, tilt motor drive, and scroller/douser CPU. The Britelight 7000 automated system can be configured for use with the Britelight 7000 portable electronic ballast for transportable applications or our 7000 watt linear ballast packaged in a weather proof NEMA 3R enclosure for permanent outdoor installations.

The overall system has been designed for use in touring shows, amusement parks, permanent outdoor and indoor architectural applications, and any application requiring reprogrammable repeatable high-intensity searchlight effects. The system may be optionally supplied safety list "suitable for wet locations" by ETL.
